Kamala Harris

 Kamala Devi Harris is an American politician from the United States. Born on October 20, 1964, she was the 49th Vice-President of the United States. She is both the first female vice-president and the highest ranking female official in the United America. Being a part of the Democratic Party, she was the former attorney general of California between 2011 and 2017 and was an United States senator representing California from 2017 to 2021. Harris was born in Oakland and attended Howard University, University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Following her first job as an Alameda County District Attorney Harris was recruited to San Francisco District Attorney's Office. Then she was appointed the City Attorney of San Francisco. In 2003, she became the San Francisco district attorney. Harris was elected Attorney General of California in the year 2010. In 2014, she was re-elected. Harris was the United States junior senator from California from 2017 until 2021. Harris defeated Loretta Sanchez to become the first African American woman senator and the first South Asian American ever to be elected to the United States Senate. Harris was a senator who worked for health care and federal de-scheduling of cannabis. A path to citizenship for undocumented migrants. The DREAM Act bans assault weapons and progressive tax reform.
